Professor Getnet Tadele is a prominent sociologist and academic with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. He currently serve as a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Addis Ababa University and hold several visiting professor positions internationally.

His research focuses on medical sociology, reproductive health, neglected tropical diseases, and social aspects of HIV/AIDS. He has secured numerous international research grants and published extensively in prestigious journals..
